My issue is not with the actual "drive" as it handles well and has great bells and whistles compared to its counterparts. The stroller suite my 6 month old, my 3.5 yr old and my almost 6 yr od just fine. However, the drawstring pull was not assembled correctly upon arrival and the foot stand is on backwards and I don't know if I can fix myself. I ordered this on 2 day shipping b/c I really needed it. Now i'm wishing I'd skipped Amazon and bought at the store.
Was this a refurb??? I'm so frustrated.

I have had the G-Luxe since May and this past weekend, the stroller collapsed while we were out walking in the park, the mechanism to keep the stroller open is flawed. When I did a search online about this, Uppa baby has a "retrieval" in place for this issue, but no recall. Because they did not issue an official recall, you will not find this information on recall lists and many retailers are unaware of the problem. f you own a g-series stroller, check out their website to see if you are part of the retrieval.

Besides the fact that stroller is UNSAFE, I find it to be much less convenient than the McClaren. You need 2 hands to fold it, It does not fold as compactly, the white on the seat gets dirty and it generally feels less sturdy.

We used the UPPAbaby G-Luxe on a trip of 20 days. The structure of the stroller still looks sturdy but the fabric of the sun shade (front and back) is quite damaged. We used the protective bag for all the flights n took really good care of it (leaving up when folded for example). But apparently the material used on the sunshade cannot handle normal use.
Overall, it did a good job on the trip, but now I want to get rid of because it looks so ugly. A very expensive 20 day stroller.
